triggering clips

Post by damo » Sat Mar 31, 2007 6:17 am

I've got a couple of things going on that i'd like someones expert advice on.

Once I've assigned a clip to be triggered via my midi keyboard for some reason no matter what channel I'm on (including a VST instrument channel) if i play a note assigned (to a clip on another channel) it moves back to the channel the clip is on and triggers the clip. not sure why. can't see how this can be un assigned...?

Is there a way of triggering clips whithout starting the sequencer?
:?

Hello,

I think there is sort of a conceptual misunderstanding: an assignment to a clip start is exclusive, means that if C3 on MIDI channel 1 is assigned to launch clip(s), that note on that channel won't be available to play instruments anymore.

And if a clip is started, it means that the transport has to be started.
