Hi I am new to this so please excuse me if there is something simple that I havent done. I just purchased Ableton Live 6.05 and own a Yamaha Portatone PSR-230 Keyboard. It is fairly old but has MIDI connections. I have bought a Midi In/Out to USB interface and connected it all up straightfowardly.
Microsoft recognised the Audio Input so I loaded up Ableton and followed the tutorial to set up a MIDI keyboard. I did everything it said, going on preferences and making sure the input of the USB audio device said 'On' in the Track column and have configured the keyboard to allow MIDI from a PC but after I have done this all no sound is coming out of my speakers and the 'MIDI Track In Indicator' in the top right corner is not lighting up.
Any help?
