Next Live 6.0.6 Beta: Live 6.0.6b7!

Post by Alex » Tue Apr 03, 2007 6:57 pm

Hi folks,

We just released a another beta version for another upcoming
bug-fix update, called 6.0.6b7.

Win: http://www.ableton.com/_common/download ... e606b7.zip
Mac: http://www.ableton.com/_common/download ... e606b7.dmg

That beta version does not contain a manual or content.
See the change log below for the changes contained in that versions.

Please report your bugs to beta@ableton.com

Kind Regards
/Alex

Changes from Live 6.0.6b6 to Live 6.0.6b7

Bug fixes:

Live would crash when:
- create an arranger MIDI clip and show it in the detail view
- Select the numerator or denominator of the signature in the transport bar
- type a new number, but don't press enter
- click in the MIDI editor

I hoppe have this new version finally go out form beta status asap, want have fanlly the feature "MIDI Feedback of fired clips in session" without need inastall all bestas everytime expire.

The next time i sugest make BETAS NO EXPIRE.........so any want have some adventage of new feature or bug fix inmediatly and no need install over and over again.

That will never happen.
Ableton wants you to always use the latest beta when you take part in testing.
The experation date on a beta ensures Ableton that they aren't getting any bug reports from Live 6.0.1b5.

Still no word on the AU transpose bug :( I can't believe it's taking so long to solve what I would say is such a critical bug.

Annoying implies you can still work, this bug makes using AU instruments in arrange view COMPLETELY unuseable.

Why not release the bugfix when all known/reproducable bugs are fixed ?
Theres quite a few bugs I'm hoping get a fix which have not been mentioned in 6.0.6. changes.
Take more time, I'd rather wait for a class 6.0.6 release.
Thanks

yep i can still work with it! but its not pretty...

for me, the problem occurs with zebra and automat. but i havent noticed it happening with other AU, does it happen on all of them on your system?

i managed to get round the random automation bug (usually transposes), by using the envelope lock tool before copying midi clips in arrange view. as i said its not pretty, but i can get by... or limp by... either way it's got to be fixed.
