Live 6, Reason, and Rewire

Post by highlife66 » Wed Apr 04, 2007 8:13 am

Hi,
Does anyone know why this is happening. I have the Live demo and I rewire into Reason's sound patches and I use an M-Audio Ox-8 controller. Everything is great so far. I hit record and all is still well. When I hit playback the Reason midi is all messed up and won't play correctly. Some notes sustain too long and most aren't heard at all. :x That is the only glitch I have found so far as I installed it a couple of weeks ago. Otherwise the prog is really easy to understand and use. Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks,
Jeff

Hello,

Can you try turning off 'Multicore/Multiprocessor support' in the Preferences, CPU tab in Live?

If that 'solves' the issue, tell me, did you install a Melodyne demo or full version?

I've noticed rewire problems too, though using OSX Cubase and Live.
Since version 6 came out I have not been able to rewire without problems, which I posted about previously.
Hope ableton are aware it doesn't work right and fix it soon.
Thanks

Hi Amaury,
THANKS!!! No problems now! :D It's a bummer I can't utilize the multicore option since that's why i got that cpu, now I have to reinput all my midi info back into Live, no prob tho... Yes I have the Melodyne demo installed. Could that be related? Even if I don't have Melodyne started will that interfere with rewire?

Thanks,
J

Hi,

We are investigating the issue with Melodyne support, but it seems that a common factor for this behaviour is having Melodyne installed. Not sure yet about what happens, but we are on the case.
