Session view follows arrangement view's automation

Post by Idonotlikebroccoli » Wed Apr 04, 2007 3:58 pm

I'm about halfway through a project and have laid out some stuff in the arrangement view. This includes volume automation on the master channel

When I've been playing stuff in session view for 73 bars, everything starts following the volume automation in arrangement view, which begins at bar 73.

I fail to see how this is neccesary. Are there any ways to avoid this? It's kind of annoying.

Hi,

It is the way it is working for now, otherwise there would be no way for Session to 'hear' automation.

If you want to avoid the Arrangement automation, place a marker in arrangement after all the data that is written, and right click on it and choose 'set song start here', so the previous portion of the Arrangement will never play.

Did you set a script that sniffs the forum for automation + session??? :)

'for now' means 'as it is implemented'!
