Live Device Navigation on Remote SL?
Is there a way that I can move between devices using only my remote SL? For example, I'm focused on Track 1's EQ8, and I would like to move the focus to Track 2's Redux. Is this possible? It'd be nice if I could, and would definitely speed my workflow up quite a bit.
15" Macbook Pro C2D, Live 6, Remote Zero SL

You can use this autohotkeys program http://www.autohotkey.com, and then set the space bar to highlight the current device with, let´s say the space bar so when you click on space automatically the focus will go to the current device and then with left and right arrows you can select the effect that you want in case that you have several devices at the same time wich is what you asking for, there are few autohotkeys scripts posted here so, just make a quick search, the program is simple and easy and works fine, to do that just with the remote zero with the automape template, i don´t know
hope this helps

i use a kind of workaround to do this: in template 40 on the remote sl, the second button below each fader arms the respective track for recording. pressing it will switch live's focus to the tracks instruments/effects. (i'm then pressing it a second time to avoid unintended recording; the focus stays where i want it to.)
if there's more than one effect/instrument on the track and it's not the first one you want to control, you can switch between them using your computer keyboards right/left arrow keys.
so, you can select the track with the remote sl and the track's devices with the arrow keys.
that's how i do it, there may be better ways...

I wish we could assign keys or MIDI to change the focus in Live for just this reason.

I misunderstood the question so I am editing the message:
ok
i would just do the tip about the double tapping record button to gain focus on the tracks instrument view, and then assign left and right arrow commands to the drumpads on your sl with a midi to keystroke conversion program ( i use midistroke on macbook)
this way you can browse through different effects on a single track.
but i think i understand your question now.l
lets say you have track 1= drums (fx:beat repeate + simple delay), track 2 = bass (fx:compressor, saturator)
i dont think there is any way to instantly switch between track 1 beat repeat and track 2 saturator without having to at least use arrow keys.
but it shouldnt be such a big problem, becuase the lcd tells you what you are currently focuesed on. it will just take you an extra few seconds to quickly alternate i guess
