Moving sample files

Post by tokintmash » Fri Apr 06, 2007 2:34 pm

Hi,

I am using Live for DJing. Whenever I buy new MP3s I tend to put them into a folder named NEW. When I get used to tunes I move them into specific folders. Now, after Ihave removed the sample file Live doesn't know anymore, where that file is. So i use automatic search to find those files. And every time it works fine. It finds the right sample. BUT it can't remember the new location. Why I cannot say: "yes, that's the right file, it's now located there. Remember!"? Or can I?
I've got tunes separated into loops/clips and every time I move the original file I must re-save the clips into library. Is there a way to automate this?

Hello,

You can right click on the clip(s) or set containing multiple clips, in the Browser, and choose 'mange file', then search for the files, and click 'collect and save' after the files have been found.

Thanks!

For some reason I had never seen "Collect and Save" active until today... I thought it's done with this button, but dunno what I was doing wrong before.
