6.05 crash when using aggregate device on unpluging output

Post by evilxsystems » Sat Apr 07, 2007 10:12 pm

I've replicated this a few times now...if you unplug your audio cable from the headphone out when using the internal sound card on the macbook in an aggregate device, Live crashes immediately....

crackling / sound off aggregate device OSX

Post by selector97 » Fri Apr 20, 2007 2:59 pm

hi!

i have the latest live update and have aggregate audio problems, too:

when using the aggeragte audio device with an external soundcard and the internal soundcard the sound always starts crackling when i loand a new clip into the session. it can only be reversed, when i reset the soundcard. then it works until i load the next clip. sometimes it even gives no output from ableton at all. one can see the that the virtual peakmeter shows to send signals out, but it seems not to be routed to the soundcards (aggregatet) this can also be reversed as discribed above. Sample rates are matched of course. I can reproduce this everytime!!!!! (if it´s a fault of mine u might not wonder about that ;-) )

and another thing that is caused by the same problem (i think): when i use only the internal soundcard as output, it also stops the output when u load a new clip into the session. this happens only sometimes.

can anyone help me with this?? Is ableton support istening??

i´m on mac by the way.

cheers

Hello,

It is very likely that soundcards will loose sync when using Aggregate device, which is what happens to you I guess.

We don't suupport Aggregate Device, as its scope is much lager than Live.
