Copying a mix off Ableton to CD.
Copying a mix off Ableton to CD.
Please can you help. I have just done my first mix which I am please about and now I want to send it to a friend of mine.
Trouble is the recorded mix is now in alc file format and I really would like to burn this CD.
Also what format will it be in? How do I convert to mp3?
Have checked the manual & forum but can't find anything.
Thanks in advance.
Neil

Very true, I forgot to mention I'm still kinda learning the mastering deal. I use Sound Forge to normalize.laird wrote:I think "dont let Live Normalize" refers to people rendering mixes they want to send to a Mastering studio.
to send to a friend, I think Normalizing is just fine... and probably not a bad idea _if_ you aren't sure whether your song gets close to 0dB or not.

Remember if you are going to burn your mix to a CD DO NOT convert it to MP3 first. Burn it directly from the WAV file that you render to maintain all the sound quality.
If you need help rendering take a look at my guide. The rendering section is at the end of the doc.
