ableton live 5 buffer size. help!

i have no idea whats wrong with my live 5. the buffer rate peaks when i play one midi sequence. im running it on a macbook pro.
i had upgraded it from live 4.
any tips? i tried changin the rate on the preferences already

You need at least 5.2 on an Intel Mac, see the upgrade page:
