I have a Live set where I am recording two tracks of audio and then processing them directly with live effects. Sometimes, when I attempt to adjust the parameters of an effect plugin with the mouse, I'll accidentally click on the white space between two parameters and this will result in dragging the plugin out of the "track view" into the "mixer drop area." This always causes live to crash.
This behavior seems pretty easy to reproduce:
(1) Start with the default set (1 audio track, 1 midi track)
(2) Drag an EQ8 and a Filter Delay into the audio track
(3) Enable the audio track for recording
(4) Enable the record button in the transport
(5) Start recording
(6) Adjust some of the parameters in both effects
(7) Drag the Filter Delay into the "mixer drop area"
Boom. Live crashes.
I'm using a Thinkpad T60. This behavior is reproducible with both my Echo Indigo IO card and my internal sound card and in both Live 6.0.1 and 6.0.7.
I had this crash happen to me three times last night when rehearsing for a show. Is there a way to disable the ability to drag effects out of the track view? Or is there some other work around to prevent this accidental crash?
Best,
Ben

Hi,
thanks for your report, we could reproduce the bug ( I guess it is you who wrote also to the support?). It will hopefully be fixed as soon as possible.
It seems only to happen with delay devices. For now, should should simply not try to move a delay device while the track is armed for recording.

Amaury
