UX2, two microphones at once...

alright so i have a UX2, and if i have gearbox on 2 microphones, can i just put one track at 3/4 and it'll record both?

because i want to put the drums in my sister's room with a microphone, and then in my room i'll put a mic in the middle of the amps and record through that... does it sound like it'll work?

and if anyone has a better idea, please share! =]

oh! and is it possible for me to record one instrument, and one microphone at one time... cause what i've seen so far this isn't =/
