A minor problem in Live 6, entirely preventable.
I use CCleaner to remove unnecessary files and
one of them is the Live Recordings folder
contents. I do this mainly to help synchronize
Live Libraries across hard drives.
I inadvertently ran CCleaner while Live was running
and got the Serious Program error message,
probably due to deleting the decoding cache contents.
I suppose there's not much one can do when program
files disappear like that - this is just a note of warning
to others about the issue.

Download and install GetDataBack from Runtime Software. Intentionally run Live and recreate the serious program error using project files with easily identifiable names, then run GetDataBack. You'll be warned not to run it against the drive it's installed on, but it's just a test. If it can find the files, buy the software. It's cheap and works wonders. I can't remember if ccleaner does a secure delete, you'll need to turn it off. Works best on external drives or drives slaved or on a separate controller. The same company that creates ccleaner has something called Recuva that might work too. I've saved projects of all kinds that have fallen victim to my own devices
