BCD2000 problem

Post by Chopper » Thu May 03, 2007 12:22 pm

HI I have recently purchased A Dell Inspiron 1501 LAptop, it has 1 gb RAM, a 1.6GB AMD 64 x 2 cpu. I am dual booting so am running Ableton in XP.

I have also purchased a bcd2000, which I can install, and it seems to install ok.

When I then go into Ableton and import a track it takes forever, and the sound works for a few seconds then crashes out. I have tried changing the latency, but the same thing happens.

I am wondering if this is a usb driver issue as the laptop uses windows standard USB drivers, I have searched around and cannot find any other drivers though. Or is it a bcd2000 driver problem?

Does anyone else know what could be causing this?

I don't know what is causing this but I had the same issue with the BCD when I purchased a new laptop with Vista installed. In the end I gave up and bought a focusrite saffire.

Bloody frustrating.

try installing asio4all and see if that makes a difference...

Let me know if you get this fixed as I ill still like to try to get mine to work.
