glitching with xp64 / fireface800 / athlon dual-core 4400

Post by dave overcast » Tue May 08, 2007 12:54 pm

something's afoot here!

the system keeps glitching the audio, every few minutes of so. it's certainly not the cpu although there is some peculiar spiking from time to time. i've tried changing the latency of the card, to no avail. memory isn't an issue, i have 2 gigs. i've tried loading tracks into ram - no change.

any other suggestions?

thanks!

how did you go with this problem? just out of interest, what brand cd rom drive do you have? its ouwldn't be a ttst corp would it?

is this a laptop?

I have a ff800 to and was thinking of having a crack at xp 64 for my animation purposes. it would be nice if ableton runs ok in this os as id like to dual boot with vista 64 and not xp, and xp 64
