Making DRUMKITS using ZONE EDITOR in SAMPLER !! almost there
Making DRUMKITS using ZONE EDITOR in SAMPLER !! almost there
I got to the point where I have a DRUM LOOP in SAMPLER..
Ftom what I understood, I can put 1 drum loop into 1 SAMPLER and make many different ONE SHOT sample out of that 1 SANPLER instr... RIGHT ?
so now I'm selecting start-end points within the DRUM LOOP so to make a series of ONE SHOTS (kick-snare-hihats etcc)
WHAT I DON'T GET IS :
1- After I move the brackets for creating the first ONE SHOT.. What next ? How do I place it onto my KEY ZONE MAP.. I tried draggin them but could not get t done..
2-How do I save suych and then
3-How do I keep going wih my other ONE SHOTS
Don;t I have to save each of these SAMPLER samples ?

I think you might run into some trouble here. From memory (i'm not in front of my home computer at the moment) each instance of Sampler can only have one root key. So whilst you can certainly create different one shot hits in the Zone tab, they will be in different keys.tteo wrote:Ftom what I understood, I can put 1 drum loop into 1 SAMPLER and make many different ONE SHOT sample out of that 1 SANPLER instr... The only way I can think of at the moment to get around this is by using multiple instances of Sampler, as opposed to multiple instances of the sample within Sampler. That was you can assign each Sampler to different keys in the Instrument Rack. You will also have more control over each hit by using this method.
Are you confusing the Sampler key map (the Zone tab at the top of Sampler) with the Instrument Rack key map (would be sitting to the left of Sampler if Sampler is in a Rack)?tteo wrote:1- After I move the brackets for creating the first ONE SHOT.. thanx but still not getting it..almost there though
hi there, thanx much, i am not sure what u mean by "samples name in the sample page and create a duplicate..."Clearscreen wrote:do a CNTRL+Drag on the samples name in the samples page and create a duplicate. shift it's keyzone to another key then adjust the samples root note and sample start...
you mean the "bracketed" part of my sample in SAMPLER ?
then .."shift it's keyzone to another key" u mean "shitf key in the ZONE MAP EDITOR ?
"then adjust the samples root note and sample start."
in the MAIN SAMPLER parameters knoms etc ?...
Thanx,
Matteo

sorry, i was rushing a bit - CNTRL+Click on the samples name in the zone editor, then drag it to the space underneath it and you'll have a duplicate of the first sample and all it's settings.hi there, thanx much, i am not sure what u mean by "samples name in the sample page and create a duplicate..."
you mean the "bracketed" part of my sample in SAMPLER ?
for example, if you've loaded a drumloop you might want the kick to play only on C3, with a snare on C#3 so you need to limit the keyzones (ie which midi keys trigger that sample) for each sample in the zone editor.then .."shift it's keyzone to another key" u mean "shitf key in the ZONE MAP EDITOR ?
exactly. it's down in the bottom left of the sample page, and you can change it for each sample listed in the zone editor (and shows up with a little 'R' in the samples keyzone). that way, using the above example you want the root note for the kick to be C#, and the root for the snare to be C#3, otherwise the pitch of the sound will be altered... experiment with it a little and you'll get the idea."then adjust the samples root note and sample start."
in the MAIN SAMPLER parameters knoms etc ?...

No... in the zone tab you can shift each individual sample's root note.southernsteppa wrote:I think you might run into some trouble here. Multiple Outputs in Sampler
Just fooling around with the demo hoping to achieve the same thing - making a better "Impulse" through Sampler ... but having trouble trying to pipe individual outputs from Sampler the way you can in Impulse. Is it possible??
Also, is there a "Mute Group" function to simulate HiHats cutting one another off in Sampler??
