I mean the pc keyboard,
I am also using the uc33 what I want to understand is how I can make just a slight tempo change using either the uc33 or the pc key input.
I first assigned the tempo to a knob of the uc33 unit but the change is too great I can't have any precise control over it.

Click on the tempo numerals to select them and then press the up or down arrow keys.

FWIW, I'm about to buy a Roland A-37 Controller because it has sequencer start and stop buttons and you can store a tempo with each patch. I've checked it out, and LIVE will happily and smoothly jump from one tempo to another when chasing the tempo changes from the A-37 as you change patches.

Also you can manually increment and decrement the tempo manually from the A-37.

--one step closer to never having to look at the laptop while on stage....

This is another reason I am looking at the MXF8. It has a MIDI clock generator and the info on that says it can "fine tune the tempo incrementally or leap to a specific tempo on the fly". It has a sequencer as well so I'm guessing it sends start/stop. Along with the soloing and eight channel crossfading, punching and soloing this looks like the one for mouseless control from what I can make out.

Use the Up and Down keys on your computer keyboard while in the tempo "window".

I'm trying to find out more myself, it was mentioned a month or so back and the site is up now. http://www.grexultra.com. I looks more functional than most controllers I've used and seen which start to fall apart after a few months reasonable use.

UC-33 doesn't generate MIDI Clock.

I thought this would be cool to control the clock using Korg microkontrol, but decided I didn't want to be locked into midi sync--when you turn sync on, it jumps to 120 (default on Korg), and response is sluggish in the clock adjustments.

Somebody requested the workaround of being able to map keys, midi controllers to the tempo, which would be great. Why it cycles between the current, hi and lo ranges for tempo when you assign tempo to a keystroke it is beyond me. For ultimate usability, the up-down icons for tempo would be assignable to keys or midi controllers. With this, you could actually "ride" and nudge the tempo like a turntable or DJ CD player. This should be HIGH priority for future Live updates. I want ONE keystroke (no frigging mouse) to change focus to a tempo entry dialog box--something i can do by feel not sight while playing keys, triggering samples. Also, the ability to assign dedicated midi knobs for coarse and fine tempo tuning (without having to set the max min in master tempo).

I thoroughly second this.

There should be a shortcut key to change focus to the tempo field (so the up/down arrow keys can be used), and back. There also should be a way to re-map the tempo control on the microKorg to the tempo field, (you can turn the midi clock off, of course), but I haven't figured it out.....

Any help from Ableton here would be more than appreciated, not to mention Korg.......right........
