Issues with VST 2.3 plug-ins?

I've heard (not experienced) that some users have had compatability problems with Live 6.0.x and 3rd party VST 2.3 plug-ins.

Can anyone corroborate this? If so, does it apply to Mac, Mac-Intel, and/or Intel PCs? If any problem does exist, is it resolved with VST 2.4?
