Hi martin,

No, it is not a bug. At most I would say it is a not supported feature. Mainly because a bunch of technical limitations making it complicated to allow VSTs in the ReWire slave case.

so is there a workaround???
do I have to make a copy of my plugins to use them at the same time??
why can't this work...?

Hi warabunga,

it is not related to your special or any other Vst plug-ins. Like I said before it's mainly because some technical reasons. Not impossible but if we would do it now it would take a lot of efforts we would miss for other things.

If there's a workaround depends on which operating system and which ReWire master do you use. If your ReWire master can handle VST you should use them there. A lot of VST plug-ins are also availabe in other formats like AudioUnits (which can be handled from Logic 6 on OS X).

If you're on OS X and just want to send audio data from any audio app to Live without needing sync you can try out Soundflower ( http://www.ableton.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=6506 )

thanks 4 the answer!
well, I'll give the soundflower a try.

in fact I'm workin on OSX and the rewire master is Cubase SX... no audio units there, and I need synch

well, you're right, keep the focus on the automation and that everything works smooth! and make the OSX version faster and faster, please! there must be a way

you guys still rock! one fine day they will call you rockstars :-)
