"Low Disc Space" Message flashing when trying to r

I have a 20 GB hard drive with over 50% free disk space and everytime I try to record in the arranger view, I get this message:

"Disk Space is Low. Recording will be stopped in 60 seconds".

Is almost 8 GB of hard disk space not enough? Or is there something else I need to do. I am using an Athlon 900 Mhz with 384MB RAM (yes yes I know, very funny ). Any help will be greatly appreciated!

Hi DJ RAY,

do you use several partitions on your computer? If yes, does the record path in Live's 'Misc' preference section point to the right partition?
