Notes ignored in Live 6 (Reason 3.05 Rewired to Live)

Post by mechcon » Mon May 28, 2007 5:13 am

Okay, so I'm working on a tune, and have rewired a Malstrom Synth from Reason 3 into a track on Live 6.07, and in the sequencer on Live for the Malstrom, I've got a loop, simple 5-note melody. Problem I find, after it's first loop, it starts to miss and ignore the notes I've placed in the sequencer! Any idea folks?? my Buffer size is at 512 Samples and I tried dropping/raising it and it made no difference.
MacBook Pro M3 Max, Scarlett 4i4 4th Gen, Ableton Move, LaunchPad Pro MK3, Behringer Edge, TecWav noise synth, Crank Sturgeon Plug Ugly contact mic, and oodles of effects pedals.

turn off multi proc. support. notes should cease to drop.
there is a rewire problem somewhere. and neither side (as i understand it) is sure who's it is. at least that was the scoop last i inquired.

this killed reason rewire for me.

I had a very similar problem - Live 6.0.7 as Rewire master, Reason 3.0.4 as Rewire slave, PowerMac Dual G5 2GHz, OS X 10.4.9. When using MIDI from Live to trigger REX slices, half of the notes seemed to be "dropped". I tried turning on the IAC Driver in Audio MIDI Setup, then used IAC ports to send MIDI from Live to Reason, picking up the MIDI in Reason via the IAC ports. Definitely not ideal (lost the Reason device names in Live I/O), but I’m not having any trouble with dropped notes. This is with multi cpu/core support turned on in Live, BTW. Hope this helps!
