simple question - Operator -> impulse. How?
simple question - Operator -> impulse. How?
Worked through the Operator tutor, and am crating a few basic drum sounds to play with. Question is, how do I get them into sample form to use in Impulse without going through the rigmarole of recording them to an audio track and importing into simpler etc etc.? Am I being dumb?

Nope, you have to do that. It is very quick in Live though: Set input to an audio track to Resample. Start recording a clip there and play your operator sounds. Duplicate the clip a couple of times and trim each individual hit by setting the start and end points of that clip. Then drag and drop each trimmed clip into an Impulse slot. Done!
yup yup, 5 mins bro. easy
and rigimaroll,....?
once you had to get out the tape dat and a microphone and a turntable and record all of it like that then cut it up and manualy stick it in a big ole' clunky sampler that took up half your desk, not that it mattered because all it did was hold the bong anyhow, since all the computers were way across town at a college somewhere still trying to be usefull somehow before they were totally cast out of society alltogether,....thank god that didn't happen right!!!
