Not sure if this is a bug or I'm doing something wrong here..
If I export MIDI files with odd lengths and then import them again they don't have original length..
e.g.
a clip that is 1 bar and 2 beats long changes to 2 bars long when importing..
I'm I missing something here?
thanks..

Note sure if the following will help, but it helped me with a similar issue (Live 6.0.7, PowerMac Dual G5 2GHz, OS X 10.4.9).
First I imported a MIDI file into Live for the purpose of creating favorite clips (patterns, fills, riffs, etc.). After creating the MIDI clips in the arrangement view using a combination of split, cut, copy and paste commands, I’d drag the MIDI clips into the browser for use in other sets.
But when I dragged the MIDI clips back into a set from the browser, the MIDI clips were always the original MIDI track! Not what I expected, until I read about how MIDI clip editing is non-destructive, which is fine, but the start, end, loop-start, loop-end attributes did not seem to be preserved. Now, I use the Consolidate command on a single MIDI clip before dragging it into the browser, and this seems to give me MIDI clips that behave as I originally expected.
