midi program changes

can someone tell me if live can do prgram changes with a midi synthesizer and if the answer is yes how do you do it?? I checked the manual and there was nothing in the index on how to do it did a search and found some thread on program changes so i think its possible

i have to admit i haven't actually done it, but you need to set the program changes in midi clips and set the output of that midi track to the one the midi lead that runs to your synth is plugged in to...
it should work fine. i've done this with vsti's a bit and i can't see it'll be greatly different for external gear. one thing, make sure that your synth is set to receive program changes.
