Searching for Compressor Plug In for Mac OSX
Hi Live User,
My English is nod so good, so i try to describe what i'm searching for.
I've started using live a few months ago and now i have the first problems.
I want to build a sidechain but the Cpmpressors in Live are not able to do this.
So i'm looking after a compressor Plug In but i need a Plug In for a Intel based Mac
to realise a sidechain in Live 6.
I hope i can find a answer to my question with this Thread.
The Keyfeature that the compressor must have is an internal Audio in, otherwise i can not route the Signal from one Track to the Track with the Sidechain compressor.
For better understanding, i want to create the SC as shown in the Tutorial-video:

Ok this is a kind of workaround for the Problem but i want a Compressor to do it because idon´t want to draw an Envelope Curve for that Problem.
There are so many Plugins for Live to do this but they are for WIN only.
Where can i find some Compressor Plug Ins for Intel based Macs??
Is here nobody who use Live on a Mac??

Where are the Mac User from Live??
Am i the only Live User on a Mac :-/
Did i have no option to buy any compressor that works on Mac?
I hope any Studiofreak find this Thread and can give me Information in my pointless situation.
I try to search on KVR again. At the last time i searched i has no good results
Thanks anyway for the Tips so far

I'm using a MacBook too, and as one of the previous posters suggest: Auto Pan works reasonably well for ducking a baseline to a 4/4 kick, though it is a bit of a silly work-around.
The real problem is that Compresor II doesn't have a side-chain, which is quite an important feature for most electronic-style music today. Or, say, DJ voice over music. This is an often requested feature on this forum.
Buying a 3rd party compressor can be a costly option, and I think it is unfair of Ableton to put this additional expense on the user, when it could easily be avoided. Live 6 is an expensive piece of software already (yes, I bought it), and to justify the pricetag, simple things like sidechain compression should "just work"!.
Thats my oppinion.
cheers, Morten

yeah i think so too!
3rd Party Software cost about 200 till 500€. I don't to spend so much money only for SC.
But if i where in the position and have the money i wouldnt know any 3rd Party Software who i could buy.
Could you give me an recommendation???
Maybe you have a link to a tutorial how i can build the Workaround in Live with the AutoPan!??
Thanks and Greetz David
