The only feature that really interests me.

Can someone swing by an apple store for me (as there aren't any in my country), and let me know what it looks like? :)

That's cause it's the only new feature really worth being interested in :)

That's still just a paid upgrade option no, they still come stock with 5400 drives I thought?

Thats what I like about the MacBooks - user replaceable hard drives. Much better solution.

Much as I like the MBPs you just can't deny the value of a standard MB.

Yea, 7200 is an upgrade but the previous MBP C2D didn't even have it as an option.

Shit, my Powerbook is still going strong, why won't it just break or something...

In the case of Live I would argue more than nice... :)

My 2005 Powerbook has the worst wireless AirPort antennas in the history of forever. $400 Dells put it to shame.

I was looking around the Apple page and they don't just come out and say they have "improved" the backlit keyboard. It's not the same one?

Hilarious. A lady I work with was getting her kid a graduation gift. He wanted an MBP to look at pron and play games. I warned them that the MBPs were due for an upgrade and they should wait at least for the 12th (Job's keynote). They didn't.

That was last week.

HAHAHAHAHAHAH. I love when I'm right. Which is all the time.
15" PB 2.5 Ghz, 4 Gig RAM, 750 GB HD, Live 9 still no cue points or program change messages?!?. Doesn't do shit.

Other than the new OLED and a VERY modest speed increase, I don't really see the big deal with this update, very little has really changed. The base model is only 0.04gHz faster, and comes with 2GB instead of 1GB (1 GB cost me $35 elsewhere) compared to the first c2d MBP I bought last year. I mean it's cool, but nothing to really get excited about this time IMO. Memory speeds are the same, graphics are the same, HD speed and size is the same, so ?????

It's not OLED. Just LED backlighting to an LCD screen.

The video card is better, the machine can now handle 4GB of memory and is slightly cheaper.

Not a bad little update. I wanted more though and specifically I wanted a small MBP.
