I have Battery, what do you guys use to program the midi for beats? Is there a way to setup your computer keyboard to do it?

ctrl+shift+k turns the kbd into a midi controller (just choose 'keyboard'/'All Ins' on the midi input) , Use Z/X keys to transpose octaves...
