!!! unable to save work on loops in Live 3.0.2 !!!

Post by Twine » Wed Feb 04, 2004 6:58 am

Hello,

I'm having a major problem with Live 3.0.2

Im running a G4 Titanium with 512 Megs of Ram and a 667Mhz processor on the latest version of Panther.

When I try to save a loop I've edited in Live I get this error:

Cannot open file "path.asd"

how do I fix this?

thanks,
Chad

Am not on Mac unfortunately ... but can you detail a little more what you mean exactly by "save a loop I've edited in Live " , so that we understand what you mean.

PS. Btw, discovered your music some time ago through Epitonic and will try to catch you guys in Ghent on the 15th

Just a thought ... "path" must be the name of the sample I guess, as the asd file always replicates the name of the aiff/wav .... can it have to do with permissions to write/change attributes of a file on a certain folder ...

Hey Chad,

I'm basically running the exact same set-up as you and just started having the same problems.

Is this happening when you Save Self Contained?

I just posted about this in the Bugs & Problems forum, so keep on eye on that thread to see if anyone responds.

Oops, just noticed that it's a .asd that you're having problems with...

Have you tried turning off analysis files in prefs?

Also, click on the samples and then hit the replace button, this will ask you what sample you'd like to replace the current one with...select the same sample, this will sometimes update the file path info and might fix your problem...

Hope this helps!
