When I try to render with the "All tracks" option, I get the message that I don't have enough memory, even though I have 1,7gb free.
The project isn't especially large either, 24 tracks running mostly Live native plugs. No difference in trying different options, e.g. 16/24bit, normalize, etc.
DFD in Kontakt 2 bugs sometimes too, but this is independent from the rendering and the tracks renders fine in solo.
Any suggestions?

You're saying that Live have to render all the tracks to the memory?
If that's the case, then Live's rendering engine needs a serious overhaul.
I often render 15-20 minutes of 24/96 audio for movies in Nuendo (been doing this with 1gb total system memory as well) , and on several occasions rendered 10-14 minutes of 24/96 audio on a reaaaally sucky Reason-machine with 512mb ram, without problems at all.
A friend of mine, Xerxes, have no trouble rendering 50+ 10-15min long stereo tracks (he's an ambient artist :p) with Renoise on a 2gb machine as well, so I believe that something's fishy.
Rendering 24 tracks in batch should not be a problem, imo.
