Discoverload-Bug in Ableton Live 6.0.7 & 6.0.8b3

Post by BASSbüro » Thu Jun 14, 2007 7:46 pm

strange bug in both versions:

working with a set (3.19 mb, trilogy-vst, sylenth 1-vst). start the sequencer in session view and after a while hit the stop-button. hit the stop-button with fast recurring clicks like this: stop, stop, stop, stop, stop.....

you'll get a crazy disc-overload and the cpu-index is going wild and moving from 10% - 160% or more.

in version 6.0.3 i don't get this cautious.

can someone confirm this?

thanx!

pc, 2.2 ghz dual-core, 7400 u/min, 2gb ram
regards,
thom

Hi,

Does this also happen with a set that does not contain these VSTs? In short, is it related to the VSTs at all? Can you reproduce it with any set?

hi amaury

did the test: it's related to the vst's sylenth 1 and trilogy. without them i can't reproduce the bug.

EDIT:

it's related only to the vst sylenth 1 (lennar digital). i can redproduce the bug in live-versions 6.0.7 and 6.0.8b3 but NOT in live-version 6.0.3.

thom
