mpc and live sync question

hi im syncing mpc 4000 to ableton live as slave and for some reason on measure one in ableton when i press play the mpc will play from the beginning but if i fast forward 8 bars in ableton or more than one i press play on my abelton live and id wait 2 measures exactly or 1 measure before the mpc will trigger

is there a workaround in this is anyone making music synching mpc to ableton? is there a way to get mpc to sync without the wait?

What happens if you change the global quantize?

Have you tried Using the MPC as the master?

thats what i'd do.
