axiom 49 question - drumpad Q?

Post by tribewalker » Fri Jun 15, 2007 7:47 pm

Okay, i gotta question cuz i know im totally forgetting something when setting up my axiom 49 as a control surface in live.

It has to do with the drumpads on the axiom controlling impulse. When i first started to try to fiddle with using the axiom as a control surface i remember that there was something goofy i had to do to get the pads to work. but since i had no clue and absolutely could not get the instructions figured out from the live pack or anywhere else, i gave up on using the axiom as a dedicated control surface for live. then i found this site here -

http://newecho.typepad.com/blog/2007/05 ... _the_.html

which seemed to help somewhat......but since i didnt have my flash drive at work on wedensday i couldnt save the page to take it home and follow up. but i did try to get the axiom to be the control surface again yesterday, and set my preset to 18, and had a midi impulse track loaded and armed, and when i hit the pads i get the dots on the left to spike up, but no sound......then when i smash on the keyboard i get the impulse to play....

ya gotta dump the template from live into your axiom. you can download the template from ableton's d/l section of the site.

I cannot explain it any better than what ableton does.

There are a few other axiom threads on the forum, do a search there is a lot of information on the issue.
