converting your live set to mp3 format

hey, ive saved a live set that i have done, and i am unable to convert it or play the song, on a different music program like i tunes, do i need another program to convert the ableton live file to mp3. it says that the file has an "als" extension or something when trying to load the song onto windows media player...

You need to render the file first. Go to the file menu and select render.

I just export the live set as a WAV file and then wack it straight into iTunes. If you right-click on the file in your iTunes library, there's a "Convert to MP3" option...

If your import quality is set fairly high in Preferences, you should have a file thats good enough to send around...

...or after rendering, you can use the fantastic freeware Audacity to convert a Wav to MP3 with the option to edit the tags and to choose the quality.
