Just put 3rd party plugs on the second screen if you need to...

I agree use Live with multiple monitors is not that great.

I have seriously thought of taking my 2 ViewSonic 21" and making one frame to fit them both so there is no bezel between the screens. But its going to be a ton of work.

Well the big assumption is that the actual LCD screen has no edge to it, meaning the display area fills the entire LCD. No way to know for sure until I open one up. If my assumption is correct (which it is more than likely not) you set each LCD screen next to each other to give the appearance of one continous screen. Mockup a housing/frame in wood first. Once all the dimensions look good, send the measurements off to a machine shop to get you new housing made.

If I can water cool a normal PC into a Power Mac G5 case, I am sure I can figure this out as long as my assumption holds true.

I have two large and incredibly heavy tubes sitting right beside each others. they are cheap and do the job very well. Keep all the plug-ins, wave editor, channel strips, whatever file editor, anything at all on the right screen. In the meantime Live is always in view and unobstructed. I do this with an Nvidia GeForce FX5200 and this setup is probably the best upgrade to any computer.

can we all agree that if you are ever going to use the word "utilize" you just use the the word "USE" and save us all the energy we spend thinking your smart.
