can someone give me a brief discription of groups and how to set them up.the group function is always greyed out in the edit menu. i cant seem to find anything about it in the manual.

are you talking about groups as in bus mixes? or groups as in grouped devices i.e. racks
if it's one you just use the I/O section of an audio track and choose the track you want to route them to in the output
if it's 2 you select the devices you want to group either by holding control or shift then right click->group or ctrl/cmd + G

can u not create a group track which contains several clips on the same channel and launch all clips in that group with one button

you cant launch more than one clip on one track
but if you want to simultaneously launch several clips with one button, either use the scenes or assign all the clips to one button in midi or key map mode
