my midi assignments are gone

I have a ableton set that I have been using for a month now, and in the file, I had certain midi sounds assigned to my Korg Kontrol pad. ..I come to open the file today and they are gone. How could this have happend?..I have been using the file for the longest without any issues...can I recover them?

I would hate to have to re-assign everything.
