If a project uses Liquid Mix, 9 out of 10 times when you load it Live will crash. Once you relaunch Live it will work. I don't know who's fault it is, but I wish it didn't do that. I really like the Liquid Mix and am stuck with it since I spent all my money on it. I think it might be Live's fault. Here is a crash log:

I also had problems with vers.2 of LiquidMix. Live would take a lot of CPU. When I would stop the CPU was going to 2108%! No sound after.
So I think it had to do with the new latency adjustment they add on the LiquidMix Manager.
But, I did some tests using DP and it worked fine. So, like you say, probably it is a Live problem. In Live, my buffer size is 512. Changing the adjustments on Liquid never corrected the problems (even following their rule 2 x buffer size + 8 samples).
So I finally was able to find my 1.5.4 Installer of Liquid Mix. I came back to it and now it works fine.
I was using my PPC G5 Mac.
I did not update my Intel Powerbook, just in case...

Just bought it.
Have daisy chained off a TC Electronics Konnekt 24D via a 4 pin firewire port on a laptop running Windows XP2.
Installed version 2 of software and after a couple of hiccups is now working OK.
Problems eventually sorted by turning TC Electronics on and off (sounds easy but took me ages to work out !)

I have kind of a similar problem. When I load projects that contain liquidmixes
Live would say that it couldn't fin the hardware but then when I press OK, it just loads up en works like it should. So this doesn't really bother me.
Still it is very crappy for you that it crashes all the time. Maybe you should try to install the liquidmix drivers again or something.
