device view draggable upwards

Post by longjohns » Fri Jun 29, 2007 3:37 pm

With racks, and the potentially large number of chains, we should be able to stretch the device view upwards and display all the chains if we wish to.

I understand that the rest of the devices would stay at normal height, but the rack itself could stretch to eliminate the chain scroll bar

the lack of space in the chainlist can get really annoying indeed..

maybe the chainlist could expand in a similar fashion as Sampler's Zone tab..?

Yes yes. this is needed. Chainlist feels very squashed sometimes.

and the chain list don't auto scroll when ctrl dragging chains , ie , ctrl + drag 7 chains and the list still displays the original chains.

Also the drag to area at the bottom of the list is not visible or accessible all the time.

Along with issues raised in other threads it's about time Ableton revisited the GUI concept for Live 8. What was once ergonomic simplicity is becoming ever more unergonomic complexity....packing everything into one monitor ain't helping either.
