Grouping faders?

Post by seanwolcott » Mon Jul 09, 2007 7:29 pm

How can I group faders in Live? I have my mixing running hot but sounding good and want to turn ALL faders down equally as to not mess up my mix.

Help, Im stumped.

You can send all your tracks to a submix (just create a new audio track, and reroute all the tracks you want to go there from "master" to "audio track X"... make sure sends view is enabled)

or you can just turn down the main volume fader on the master track.

Because Live uses 32 floating-point bits to mix you've got bits to spare, & you wont be losing any quality the way you would on an alaog mixer, or a 16/24bit digital mixer.

AFAIK you cannot select all volume automation on all tracks and reduce all faders by X dB, the way other DAWs allow.
