D.Ramirez - Future Music Free DVD

Post by wildcon » Thu Jul 12, 2007 12:49 pm

Hi Guys,

A Quick heads up.

Theres a really cool video if D.Ramirez doing a remix in this months Future Music magazine.

He's using Logic, but there's some really valuable tips and ideas in there.

He's a pretty cool guy (down to earth), who explains things very clearly.

Check it out - definitely worth it :D

I have to second that - I've spent the last couple of days watching it (on-and-off, mainly when I should have been working) and it was great stuff. I think there's at least 90 minutes of footage on the DVD and a lot of it is really good (well, for beginners like me, definitely!)

+2

I've watched the first 2 videos and am going to brew up some coffee this afternoon and finish it off. Loads of stuff i've already seen/know but I've always loved watching other people thinking/methods, very educational.

As mentioned before Dean comes across as a really genuine guy, I've very impressed. On the back of it I even went into the London to see if i could find a copy of Guru but do you think I could track it down. FX expansion if you are watching I'm going to buy a copy because of this article, hook Dean up big style!

If you see FM, it's worth the £5,

The 10 logic tips are also good in the technique folder if you haven't already watched those.

Hi,

I got the Chris Lake one which was good because he was using live.

But this is way more informative.

I'm with you on the Guru drum machine - would be perfect for me but couldn't get one in London this weekend.

I did get Camel Phat again on the strength of what I saw in the DVD and it's absolutely excellent - I've already started re-recording stuff with it on :D

I spotted the Ableton logo on the monitor in the picture of his studio on the cover of the DVD.

Cool 8)
