Is there a way to record automation into a clip?

Post by semtek » Thu Jul 19, 2007 4:16 pm

Perhaps I'm being stupid here

Is there a way to choose that automation is recorded/overdubbed into a clip?

I know you can draw it in, and record automation into the arrange, but I haven't figuerd out how to do it into clips yet...

Any help much appreciated :D

In arrange view, yes. hit record, and turn knobs.

in session view, no.

You can copy and paste from arrange view to session view, tho.

also, see:

Nice one, thanks. Shame it can't be done, though I imagine there's a reason. For example I'm able to record pitch bend and channel pressure to a clip, it's only the automation I'm currently unable to record. Must have something to do with the way Live handles automated parameters. Will have to add this to the features request list.

:D
