i have been working on a trance song for a really really long time (about 6 months) and i came really close to finishing it but i went camping and when i got back home my door was kicked in and my laptop was stolen!!! For some reason whoever broke into my house took only my laptop and not my BX8's, my UC-33, my external HD, my soundcard, my turntables and mixer so i guess i sorta got lucky, if you can call getting a laptop stolen with 6 months of 5 hours per day worth of art on it lucky. but so i have what i finished posted on myspace and i want all of your opinions. whats good, what needs work, all that kind of stuff.

the copy of the song i have is just an eq test copy of it but it was getting pretty close to being done anyway. now that i know how to compose psytrance, it will take alot quicker than 6 months for me to produce a song like this one from scratch...anyway i have been rambling enough..the link is

Well I'm not really a fan of trance (I prefer tarnce) but definately this got my head bobbin like crazy and made me want to leap out of my seat and dance like I just don't care...scary, since I dance like a constipated giraffe

Some cool things going on with the rhythm track, nice sound samples. was waiting for the epic happy lead synth line but it never came, maybe an element you were going to add later before your gear was stolen?. After about 3 mins I was hoping for a bit more variation, some nice tricks with bleepy stuff came but not a strong melody like the epic synth lead line you tend to get in Trance stuff as a rule of thumb.

thanks man, im glad to know you dig it!! i have an aif format version of the song..the one you heard was mp3 but since my laptop got stolen, most of the individual pieces of the song were lost and all i have is the mp3 and the aif. the aif sounds much better than the mp3 does for sure...but i got a new laptop a couple of months ago and have been working on a new song every day since i got it. it should be done really soon (the first time was 6 months cuz i was still trying to figure out how to go about making a song like that) so i will let you guys know when i have the new one posted..it will be alot more high quality sounding than this last one for sure...it already is i guess..but its got some finishing touches.
