Tascam US428 & Live?

I'm a new Live user and this is my first post, so hi! Unfortunately my first post is a bit of begging for advice - I'm trying to hook up my Tascam US428 to live to use as a midi controller, but being a bit of a MIDI novice I don't really know what I'm doing and I can't get it to do anything! Is anybody able to help? Cheers!
