Hi all,
anyone have a way of forcing Live to see my BCR?
About half the time I open Live it doesn't recognize the BCR as a midi controller - I turn knobs but no midi activity 'light' in the live GUI.
I know The OS can see the BCR in these cases because the little 'safely remove hardware' widget in the windows notification area shows the BCR in there.
I power-up the BCR before opening Live but half the time Live just doesn't see it. The BCR is connected via USB , I am on XP.
I know the problem is most likely on the Behringer end, but regardless of that ... does anyone have a hacky way of forcing Live to see the device?
My current way involves lots of turning it off and on and restarting Live until it works.
sometimes Live just wont see my bcr

I've found that I need to reload the MIDI driver if I move the Behringer to a different USB port, otherwise it tends to use the generic class compliant driver.
Check it in a program like MIDIox before you open Live to see if it's registered as 'BCR2000' not 'USB Audio device'(generic).
