Feels like the Dance Music Community is stuck at the moment.
I think I've heard about everything Electro can offer.
What do you guys think is the next big thing?
Anybody aware of something new on horizon?
Warning: if you say "Tarnce", I'll bitch slap you and your mother.

Why don't you invent it?
I invented Gabba Folk and the world took no notice.

I agree. Invent it. Even if the world takes no notice, at least you won't be bored anymore.
What about this? Recycle something from the past (go old enough that people under 20 will think it's new at first) and add/change some stuff about it.
Personally, I think I'm about ready for some stuff that's not quite so noisy. I mean, I like some good rowdy stuff sometimes...but not all the time.
As my first witness, I bring Nora Jones. Who thought slow, quiet stuff would out-sell anything?

Yeah, maybe true, but then where would we be with our lovely Ableton Live?

I am working with a band right now, and my role is to take in coming midi data from the keyboardist and route it to vi's, or do filter tweaks realtime, so he can focus on playing the groove, melody, harmony, in the pocket with both hands........

Other than SPAWNmaster's helpful reply, it is clear the rest of you are clueless adolescents who have nothing valid to contribute.
What's that firefox ignore script again??

hate to break it to you all, but real musicians playing real instruments never went away, is never going away, but also by definition can't be the next thing (without something novel added, whether it's robot sidekicks or whatever).
