Some of his plugs look interesting, but i hate the damn dongle protection system used with them. Neb if you really want to make a wise investment with your money send it my way i'll invest it "right"......right into my studio that is

The do challenge response, so there's an option to not have a dongle.

As for cash for your studio, I recommend selling yourself...prostitution is legal in Nevada.

Besides, most dongles are challenge/response - The companies challenge the crackers and the crackers respond with laughter.

But yeah, in this case, I'm looking for opinions on usage, and comparisons. These are pricy plugs, so I need some good feedback, especially since the Kjaerhus summer sale is ending on Friday, and I need to make a decision.

Well the only one i've played around with at a mates studio was dynam-izer
i used it on a sound design project i was working on at the time and i must say the results were good, it worked like a detailing compressor how ever the only reason i'm not using it is like you said they are pricey. Did you already download and try the demos ?

nope haven't tried the demos yet, but I have a hard time knowing when something is "colored" or "analog"...I just do what sounds good, so I'm just wondering what people think of these plugs...are they transparent? colored? analogish?

Well for what i used it for (sound sculpting) the results were transparent i didn't notice any overt colorization to the sound....but this is not saying much as this was to my "ears" another persons ears may tell a different story altogether i would say go to the website check out the videos and download the demos and test them on a mix and see what you think sorry i know that's not much help mate.

I own the 4 Elemental Audio plugs which have since been absorbed by RND.

I still use the tracking eq daily. It's a very light, transparent eq with a great UI. The FIR eq is also quite nice imo - again, not a character eq at all. The compressor is quite flexible, but a bit confusing as well - again, clean and smooth here, not analog character imo. The limiter never really rang my bell.

I'd recommend either the sonnox set, or waves api, v series or ssl myself.

Thanks poly. Question - do you find the compressor (although it's supposedly not) to do a good enough job all around, or do you have to turn to other compressors?
