okay, sorry if this is something that should be obvious.
maybe it is in the manual, i dont know.
but i bought an m-audio trigger finger, and i cannot for the life of me figure out how to sync it up in ableton. i have my preferences set, and ableton is recognizing the trigger finger,
and i know you have to use midi mapping,
but i seriously have no clue where to start with midi mapping.
someone please help!

What do you mean with where to start? which parameters to map to the trigger finger? Go to the M-Audio website. I think there is a video that shows an example of TF with Live. Presets 10 and 11 are made to be used with Live and Impulse. TF is good for Triggering samples and Loops. And experiment with pressure sensitivity on filter cutoffs etc. The trick, though is to integrate it within your setup. So post that to see if anyone has any tips.
Macbook Pro 15" Core Duo 2.16ghz 2GB ram; Live 6.0.10; Live 7.0.7; Digi 003 Rack; Novation Remote Zero SL;Faderfox micromodul LC2, Korg Kontrol49; M-Audio Trigger Finger
you can do a lot with your tf, even control the whole set exclusively with it
midi mapping in live is dead simple. the next step is to understand what do you want your controller to do.
rtfm to fugure how to program the tf, make your own presets, organize, etc.
and here's an excellent trick on how to navigate in live using mackie control emulation: http://www.ableton.com/forum/viewtopic. ... ie+control
