Ok loooong lead-in here:
I started working last November on some music for a show I'm designing. I'm using Live and Reason Rewired through PT6. I travel around constantly from studio to theatre and between two computers, so I save my Live sets as Self Contained on an external FW drive, as I can't always bring my sample libraries with me.
Well, between the last time I worked on the music and now, the external FW that everything was on started to get flaky so I transferred everything to another drive while the first one went back for service.
All the old Live sessions opened up fine, except now I cannot save any new sounds to the sessions. I can drag them into Live and they play OK, but anything that wasn't in the pre-transfer session cannot be saved to the Sounds folder that the Self Contained function uses.
I can take .wavs from another session that were saved post session, drag them into a different session, and have Self Contain work.
I've tried starting a new session from scratch and can't save self contained at all on that one!!!
I've tried using the replace command to update the file path, no luck...I've tried creating sessions on different drives, no luck...
And here's the kicker....this only happens on my OSX laptop...when I bring the drive over to my OS9 tower, Live behaves perfectly!
Updated to 3.0.2 on the laptop. Worked at first and then for no apparent reason, started giving me the same error message...
Anybody know what's going on???
TIA!
