HELP!: HIGH PITCH SOUND / TRACK FREEZE

Hi,

When launching a scene with the following clips, 1 of my tracks Freezes (the volume bar associated with it MAXs in the red, and a High pitch noise comes out of my speakers).

I've created a song with the following tracks:

1. guitar with GUITAR TUBE AMP HEAVY effect rack from ableton
2. guitar with GUITAR TUBE AMP HEAVY effect rack from ableton
3. guitar with GUITAR TUBE AMP KILLER effect rack from ableton
4. midi format using MICROSTRUCTURES
5. Drums - 24 bit acidized wav file

all guitar tracks were recorded clean with the M-AUDIO preamp. Only processing is with the ableton effects.

I have tried using different speakers, headphones, bypassing the preamp. and same thing still happens.

Im using a macbook with OSX tiger, 1GB RAM, 2GHz dual core processor.
Took the situation to apple store and they said that the system appears to be able handle the processing, so they think its a software issue.

Whats going on ? Anyone have this problem before and know how to fix it ?

What soundcard are you using? What exact version of Live? You should write to [email protected], providing all these info.
