root key on import for sampler

Post by vapor » Sun Sep 09, 2007 6:33 am

When creating your own sample on sampler, does sampler automatically map it to root key C or do you have to listen to it to find out what the original root key is. Ex: I have a sound originally in A3, I sample it, sampler is now showing root as C3 - is that trully a C3 or an A3 labeled as C3?

Live doesnt work out that it's an A3 - so it plays exactly what is sampled when you hit a C3 then yes you will hear the A3

it means C3 on your keyboard, not the note
